Rod Perry Ministries tackles the obstacles we often face when building a solid foundation. #motivational#spiritual#educational
Have you ever heard the saying, "the journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step?"
It's true. And that step isn't anywhere near as easy as it sounds.
You see, when we're trying to get somewhere—whether it's our first job or our PhD—we often find ourselves faced with obstacles that seem insurmountable. And those obstacles are scary because they remind us of how far we still have to go.
But what if there was a way to tackle those obstacles and make them into stepping-stones instead? What if you could turn something that looks impossible into something achievable?
We all know what it's like to feel like we're on a mission and then, suddenly, our mission is derailed.
Things happen. We get distracted. We lose focus. We start doubting ourselves and wondering if we're really cut out for this.
But let me tell you something: no matter what happens, you can always get back on track! You just have to find your way around the obstacles in your path—and the key is to be prepared for them before they even come up.
I'm going to let you in on a little secret: I've been there myself. I know firsthand how easy it is to get off-track when building a solid foundation for yourself and your work—and the best thing about being able to relate is that now I can help others who are facing the same challenges as I did before!
How To Tackle Obstacles
When you're trying to achieve a goal, it's easy to get hung up on the obstacles that stand in your way. Maybe you don't have enough money, or maybe you're just not sure what steps are necessary to get from point A to point B. Whatever it is, it can feel overwhelming when you're trying to do something new and exciting—and that's totally normal!
In fact, one of the most common ways we get stuck is by thinking about all of the things that could go wrong instead of focusing on all of the things that could go right.
So how do we avoid getting stuck? Here are some tips for staying motivated when there are obstacles in front of us:
1) Focus on where you want to be, not where you are now.
2) Set realistic goals that make sense for your life stage and personality type (e.g., if you're an extrovert who loves meeting new people but hates writing emails, then setting a goal of sending 20 emails per day isn't realistic).
3) Don't try too hard! If something doesn't feel right or isn't working out as planned, take a step back and reassess what exactly needs fixing before moving forward again.
When we face obstacles in our lives, it's tempting to go into a tailspin.
You know what I'm talking about: you've got a big project coming up, and suddenly you're feeling paralyzed by fear. Or maybe you have a friend who just went through a breakup and they're not sure if they'll ever be able to get over it. Or maybe your parents are fighting again and you feel like the only thing that can save your family is if you were never born.
Whatever it is, at some point or another, we all face obstacles that seem too big for us to handle alone. And when we do, it's easy to fall apart—to give up hope or let ourselves get sucked into self-doubt.
But here's the thing: there is hope! There is always hope! And I'm here today to tell you that there are ways we can find our way out of the darkness and into a place where we can start moving forward again.
It starts with being honest with yourself about what's going on inside your brain (especially when it comes to negative thoughts). Once you're aware of what's happening in your head, then ask yourself what needs to change in order to move forward with more confidence and less fear?

At the end of the day, life is all about growth.
Sometimes it's easy to see that growth happening in your life and sometimes it's not—but no matter what, there are always ways you can grow from your experiences, even if they don't seem like much at first glance.
If you're having trouble seeing how an experience is helping you grow, try asking yourself these questions:
-What was going on in my life before this happened?
-What did I learn during the experience?
-How did this change my perspective on things?
-How can I apply this new perspective to my future choices?
There are so many ways to grow from the obstacles we face in life.
The first step is to realize that it's okay to be hurt, angry, confused, or disappointed by the things we encounter. When we allow ourselves to feel these emotions and acknowledge them, it means that we're ready for the next step: understanding where they come from.
Many times, when something bad happens to us, we blame ourselves for it. We think about what choices we made to get us into this situation and then beat ourselves up for making "bad" decisions. But what if that's not how it works? What if there are other factors at play?
What if there was some kind of force outside of yourself that influenced your decision-making process?
For example: if you have financial problems and decide to borrow money from a loan shark because you don't know any better (or don't care), then yes—that would be a bad decision on your part. That's not an excuse for why things happened the way they did; it's just an explanation of why they happened. Now that you know what happened, can you make different choices moving forward? Will those choices lead you down another path or will they bring you back around again?
Are you facing an obstacle that's getting in the way of your success? Is it something that you've been trying to tackle for a long time, but nothing seems to be working? I'm here to help.
I'll be honest with you: I'm not a professional therapist or life coach—but what I am is someone who's been through some tough situations, and has managed to come out on top. And I know how hard it is to get there. That's why I want to share my experiences with you, so that maybe, just maybe, they can help you as much as they helped me.
My goal is simple: To help people who are struggling get back on track and achieve their dreams. If you're having trouble achieving your goals in life right now, don't give up—I want to help!
