Focusing on Your Priorities

We've all got areas in life where we can improve—maybe it's our career goals, or maybe it's our relationships. But if you're spending your time trying to fix everything that's not 100% perfect in your life, you'll never get to the things that will make you better.

So focus on what matters most: the things that make you better.

You have a lot of potential to be great at something, but you'll never reach that potential if you spend all your time fixing problems instead of building up strengths. So stop worrying about what everyone else thinks of you, and start focusing on what makes YOU great!

Ask Yourself.

What are your priorities in life?

Are they the things that make you better, or are they just the things that make you feel better?

I'm sure we've all had moments when we've told ourselves that the next thing on our to-do list is more important than taking care of ourselves. We convince ourselves that we need to earn more money so we can afford a bigger house; we tell ourselves that working all night will give us more time in the morning; we decide that working out is a waste of time because our work is more important.

But what if it's not? What if our priorities are all wrong? What if it's not about getting ahead at all costs, but about slowing down and taking stock of what really matters in life?

What if the only way to be truly happy—to be truly fulfilled—is by focusing on what makes us better as people, rather than just making us feel better about ourselves?

You may not have time for this right now, but maybe when you're done reading this article (or watching this video), you'll have a chance to reflect on your priorities in life and whether or not they align with what really matters: being a good person who takes care of yourself and those around you.

Take Control of Your Priorities

Here are a few ways to ensure that you're focusing on your priorities in life:

1) Set aside time for yourself. Even if it's only 20 minutes a day, make sure you have some space where you can recharge your batteries and reconnect with yourself. This could mean taking a walk outside or even just sitting quietly and breathing deeply. Whatever helps you feel centered and calm is what works best for you!

2) Find something that brings joy into your life—and do it regularly! Having something in life that makes us smile (or even laugh!) is one of the most important things we can do for ourselves because it helps us stay positive. When we're feeling happy about something, it helps keep stress at bay and makes everything else seem easier to handle as well. Plus, research shows that laughter can actually improve our health by lowering blood pressure and reducing stress hormones like cortisol
